Black Rock Classic Draught is a classic full-bodied, easy-drinking brown beer that will be familiar to many NZ beer drinkers (Think Speight's, Waikato Draught, Lion Red). This popular session beer is both satisfying and thirst-quenching with full-bodied malt character from the Crystal and Black specialty malts balanced with a moderate bitterness .
This Classic Draught pours a deep amber colour with an SRM of 12, offering a rich and complex malt profile. The blend of MaltEurop Lager, Gladfield Medium Crystal, Light Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, and Aurora malts provides a full-bodied mouthfeel with notes of caramel, chocolate, and a hint of roasted coffee.
The bitterness from NZ Hops Green Bullet™ is moderate, contributing to a balanced finish with an IBU of 25.
At 4.5% ABV, this Classic Draught is both sessionable and satisfying, making it a perfect choice for any occasion.
For best results, brew Black Rock Classic Draught with Black Rock Unhopped Light & an 11.5g sachet of Fermentis Yeast: SafAle™ US-05.
