Rakau™ is a standout hop throughout the selection process due to its inherent intensity of aromas lifted from a heavy weight of oils. Selectors generally are agreed that the dominant fruitiness is that of fresh stone fruit such as apricot.

Alpha Acid: 10.0-11.0%
Beta Acid: 5.0-6.0%
Cohumulone: 26.48%

Uses: New World styles of ales and lagers where brash fruity character and big but well constructed bitterness is desired. Readily toned back to lighter styles, even with multiple kettle additions.....and great when used in a combination of very late and dry hopping.

Aroma: Great results over several brewhouse applications have been seen with sensory panels scoring uniformly high on the quality of bitterness as well as unique fruity flavours and aromas, once described as “The whole orchard”
