The right choice for balanced cider, Fermentis SafCider AB-1 ensures very good assimilation of fructose and is excellent for low gravity ciders. It has a delicate aromatic profile combining fresh (apple) and elaborate fruit (applesauce) notes with a balanced mouthfeel.
Usage:
For sweet and dry ciders from fresh or concentrated apple juices. Suitable for difficult fermentation conditions and mixes with sugar syrups.
Selected from the Champagne region, this yeast can be used for all types of ciders, even under difficult fermentation conditions. This cider yeast works at a wide temperature range between 10-30°C with ideal temperatures between 18-24°C.
Works at low pH from 3.3. Low nitrogen requirements: from 150ppm of Yeast Available Nitrogen. Maximum SO2 level : 70mg/L. Very good assimilation of fructose. Highly flocculant.
