Air Still Infusion Basket

This stainless steel basket is suitable to infuse vodka with botanicals, lemon or orange peel, cinnamon sticks, chili or other flavouring ingredients. The item is easy to attach by simply clipping it into the inside of the Air Still lid.

Cinnamon Infused Gin

Ingredients

  • 20 g Juniper Berries

  • 1 Cinnamon Stick (3 g)

  • 1 g Cloves

  • 1 g Allspice Berries

Method:

  • Distil your spirit as normal through the Air Still, dilute your spirit down to 40 % ABV and then filter using the Still Spirits Ez Filter.
  • After filtering, dilute the alcohol further so you have 4 L of spirit for the infusion distillation (approx 12 % ABV).
  • Place the botanicals into the Air Still Infusion basket and attach underneath the lid of the air still. NOTE: Ensure the basket is facing up when attaching it onto the air still lid to prevent botanicals from falling into the hole and blocking the vapour path.
  • With the Infusement Basket attached, distil your filtered spirit again until you have 700 ml of lovely cinnamon infused gin.

Mint Infused Gin

Ingredients

  • 20 g Juniper Berries

  •  3.5 g Coriander Seeds

  • 0.5 g Dried Liqourice Root

  • 0.5 g Dry Mint

  • 0.5 g Fresh Lemon Peel

Method:

  • Distil your spirit as normal through the Air Still, dilute your spirit down to 40 % ABV and then filter using the Still Spirits Ez Filter.
  • After filtering, dilute the alcohol further so you have 4 L of spirit for the infusion distillation (approx 12 % ABV).
  • Place the botanicals into the Air Still Infusion basket and attach underneath the lid of the air still. NOTE: Ensure the basket is facing up when attaching it onto the air still lid to prevent botanicals from falling into the hole and blocking the vapour path.

Orange Infused Gin

Ingredients

  • 20 g Juniper Berries

  • 3.5 g Coriander Seeds

  • 0.5 g Dried Liquorice Root

  • 2 g Fresh Orange Peel

Method:

  • Distil your spirit as normal through the Air Still, dilute your spirit down to 40 % ABV and then filter using the Still Spirits Ez Filter.
  • After filtering, dilute the alcohol further so you have 4 L of spirit for the infusion distillation (approx 12 % ABV).
  • Place the botanicals into the Air Still Infusion basket and attach underneath the lid of the air still. NOTE: Ensure the basket is facing up when attaching it onto the air still lid to prevent botanicals from falling into the hole and blocking the vapour path.
  • With the Infusement Basket attached, distil your filtered spirit again until you have 700 ml of lovely orange infused gin.

Star Anise Infused Gin

Ingredients

  • 20 g Juniper Berries

  • 3.5 g Coriander Seeds

  • 0.5 g Root Cut Liquorice

  • 5 g Dry Star Anise

Method:

  • Distil your spirit as normal through the Air Still, dilute your spirit down to 40 % ABV and then filter using the Still Spirits Ez Filter.
  • After filtering, dilute the alcohol further so you have 4 L of spirit for the infusion distillation (approx 12 % ABV).
  • Place the botanicals into the Air Still Infusion basket and attach underneath the lid of the air still. NOTE: Ensure the basket is facing up when attaching it onto the air still lid to prevent botanicals from falling into the hole and blocking the vapour path.
  • With the Infusement Basket attached, distil your filtered spirit again until you have 700 ml of lovely star anise infused gin.
